These little frame-by-frame animations were a personal project of mine a few years ago.
After many years of working professionally as an animator, I felt that I had lost touch with the roots of the art that I was originally drawn to.
And I also started to lose touch with myself.
I decided to use the art of animation as a tool for practicing meditation.
Every day after work, I created one little hand-painted animation, using “old school” frame-by-frame technique.
In complete contrast to my daily work, where I am bound by deadlines, precision, polish, standards, and professional demands, in these little cartoons, I practiced letting go of any particular goal or judgment and just letting my creativity flow through.
